Supreet K Singh is the CoFounder of Red Dot Foundation, an NGO that works on gender equity, justice and safety, and the CoFounder of Beyond Black, a social enterprise working on art for social good. She is a writer and film director, using her passion for human rights to create scripts, TVCs and films driven by true events that influence stigmas and social conflicts.
Supreet is a Yoga Acharya and a trained Counsellor in both the direct and indirect methods of counselling and has over 15 years of corporate experience across the globe with United Breweries Ltd.
She is a Vital Voices Visionary, BMW Responsible Leader and Seimens Siftung Fellow. She has been awarded the Web Wonder Woman by the Ministry of Women (GOI), Woman of Substance Award by FICCI Flo, Josh City Champion Award by Josh Talks and the Social Innovator Leadership Award by Biz Divas. She is part of the International Jury for 2023 PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival a joint initiative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and the International Organization for Migration.
A published author, her unapologetic view of the world is available in her poetry book— Wine | Love | Tango, while her books She Is—Women in STEAM and She Is - Water Sheroes, are her effort to celebrate women whose achievements have been in the shadows for too long and who’s life journey can inspire, motivate, and be role models for the youth.
Supreet’s first film ‘Bouddi’ represented India in the French International Film Festival and won her the Best Director and Best Film Award, besides being nominated for more than 17 International Film Festivals. She also won Best Director for her short film ‘Nirbhaya Mai Asifa Mai’ that spoke for the women and girls we lost to violence. Her creative collaboration for a Docu film with O&M Singapore in 2022 "Bioscope Stories Vs Bollywood" was nominated for Glass Lion For Change at the Cannes Festival.
She is currently working on her feature films and next book.
